StepUp CAD collects the minimum information needed to sell and support SketchUp extensions.
Who is responsible
StepUp CAD LLC, a Utah limited liability company is responsible for the personal data described here. Reach us at support@stepupcad.com; we do not publish a street address.
What we collect
- Your name and email address, given at checkout or when you start a trial
- Payment metadata from Stripe Checkout — we never see your card details
- License keys and order records we generate
- A record that you accepted the License Agreement: which version, when, and the IP address it came from. We keep it because an agreement you cannot evidence is not worth having
- Whether you asked for occasional product email, if you ticked that box
- Support emails you send us
What the extension sends us
Your license key and the email address it was issued to, once, when you activate it. That is the only request the Software ever makes to us. We check the email against the order the key belongs to, so a key on its own cannot be activated by someone else; the address is already on your order and we do not store it again. We answer with your license and record that the key was activated and when.
After that it never contacts us again. Your license is checked entirely on your own computer, so the Software keeps working with no internet connection. It sends no telemetry, no usage data and no model data — not at activation, and not afterwards. We never see what you draw.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising trackers on this storefront by default. We do not email you about anything beyond your order unless you asked us to, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
Processors
Stripe processes payments. Resend (when configured) sends transactional email. Hosting providers may process request logs.
