Railings that arrive ready to cut.
Model railings the way the shop builds them: tube and flatbar members, mitered junctions, pickets tabbed into laser-cut rails. Then export STEP a tube laser can nest without anyone tracing a cutline.

PLACEHOLDER. Needs a fabricator or detailer quote with a real name on it. Do not launch without one.
Features
Everything here is railing-specific
Build along any drawn path
Draw the run and Railworks follows it, one member per edge, mitered at every junction. A member’s stored path is its centreline, so the run hangs off its line once and the section carries each corner.

Tab-and-slot joinery
Pickets embedded into laser-cut rails, with tabs and slots cut into the parts themselves. It is real geometry. If a slot is wrong here, it comes out wrong on the machine.
Baseplates, bevels, cope and trim
Railing baseplates with hole patterns, corner bevels, corner join, trim and cope. The detailing a fabricator would otherwise do by hand, applied parametrically.
Your own profiles
Nineteen railing profiles ship with it, and you can add your own. The sections your shop actually stocks are the ones you build from.
The exclusive part
STEP out of SketchUp. Nothing else does this.
One file per piece, quantities aggregated, true arcs recovered in the cross-section. That last part is what makes it usable. A faceted section matches no stock tube, so the nester rejects it. Railworks writes real cylinders and the cutline is found automatically.
NC1 ships alongside it for the beam line.

FAQ
What do I get when I buy?
A perpetual single-seat license key, the .rbz installer, and email delivery so you can re-download any time.
How does the trial work?
Thirty days, fully functional. Every tool and every exporter, including STEP. No card required to start.
Is it really the only STEP exporter?
SketchUp has no native STEP export, and the only other STEP plugin on the market is an importer. Railworks writes STEP with true arcs in the section so a nester can auto-detect the cutline.
How many seats?
One seat per purchase. Install on two machines if only one is in use at a time. Contact support to transfer a seat.
Which SketchUp versions?
SketchUp Pro 2024 and newer, on Windows and Mac.
Which build am I getting?
Railworks 0.9.46. Updates within 0.x are free, and the installer is a single .rbz you load from SketchUp's Extension Manager.
Refunds?
30-day money-back guarantee, no matter the reason.
