Install the .rbz

This article explains how to install Railworks from the .rbz you downloaded after checkout or from Licenses.

Who this applies to

Anyone loading Railworks into SketchUp Pro for the first time, or installing an update over an existing copy.

Before you begin

• SketchUp Pro 2024 or newer is installed.
• You have the Railworks .rbz on disk.
• Close any other SketchUp dialogs that might sit on top of Extension Manager.

Install

1. Open SketchUp Pro.
2. Go to Extensions → Extension Manager → Install Extension.
3. Choose the Railworks .rbz file.
4. If SketchUp warns that the extension is unsigned, allow it (Unrestricted / Approve), then restart SketchUp.
5. Confirm a Railworks toolbar and Extensions → Railworks appear.

Troubleshooting

If nothing appears after restart, follow SketchUp loading policy and Extension does not load.
