A PDF drawing is measured in paper units. ImportTools asks for the drawing’s scale in the preview, before anything is built, so the plan lands full size.
Pick it from the list
Choose the scale printed on the sheet: 1/4 in = 1 ft, 1:50, 1:1 (paper) and the rest. The default is 1/4 in = 1 ft, and the scale you pick is remembered for the next import.
Or measure it
- Choose Measured.
- Click the two ends of a dimension you can read off the sheet — the longer the better.
- Type its real length. ImportTools works out the scale from that. A measured scale belongs to that drawing and is not remembered.
When to contact support
If the scale comes out wrong on a drawing whose dimensions you trust, send the PDF and the length you measured.
